EMIGRATION AND IMMIGRATION.
We are indebted to Mr J. R. Monson, the* Emigration Officer at Port Chalmers, for hiscourtesy in supplying us with the monthly returns of immigration ana emigration foi- theterm ending 31st January, which show that 840 persons have arrived at and 110 sailed from. Port Chalmers during that period, and leaving; a balance of 730 in favour of immigration. DtUIGRATIOJf.
