effects. There was a veiy large attendance, and all the lots submitted fetched full rates. The sections 12 and 13, block XVir., sold for £154. Also, at tho Commercial Yardi, a lot ol inferior horses, draughts, at from £10 to £26 ; and hacks, £1010s to £27; pony phajton and horses, £27. Privately, during the week, they sold 20 head fat cattle, at 30s per lOOlbs, which niiy be taken now as current rate for fat stock; also; 40 head store bullocks, at £8 10s, and 600 lambs at ss.
Mr A. H. Maude, Oamaru, r«porta that he held a sale at Kakanui Mou'h on Saturday last, of a quantity of miscellaneous plant, &c, on accountof the Kakanui Boating Company. There was a large attendance, and all the lots except the Burf boats, sold at fair prices. The sale realised over £400.
