The barque Yvonne, bound out, was towed down from Dunedin yesterday by the Geoiong, and anchored °fThtTeamef Taupo left yesterday afternoon for Lyttclton and the JSurth, with 50 passengers and 90 toThe £ barque Avona was removed from the pier to the stream yesterday, and tte riiijj MnnliMoußh was brought in and moored at tho Ranway Pier and will commence discharging on Monday. As the iliip Wairoa, which is lying at the New Pier, takes the ground at low water, it was proposed to remove her to a Berth at the Railway Pier, where she could finish loading, and keep afloat the while. To this end the ship Jlav Qu"cn was removed from the Hallway Pier to the New Pier, but at the last moment the captain of tho Wairoa objected to the change of berths, ami as under the late chai.ge of piera management, tho Piortnaster, it seeim, has not authority to compel any vessel once berthed to remove, the Wairoa kept her position, and the May Queen was hauled back again to the other piar—thus the whole day was lost to her, so far as discharging went.
