Mesjr* WRiauT, Stkfuekson, and Co. report, for the week ending 3rd July, as follows :— Fat Cattle.—Bo head were yarded, which though mostly of very middling quality, were eagerly competed lot at an advance of fully 2s (id per lOOlbs over last week's rates. We quote prime beef 32s ed per lOeibs ; medium do, 25s te 27s Cd. Our Bales by auction and privately are 47 head, at prices equal to above rates.

Fat Calves.—2o head yarded were sold at from 15s to Css each. " Fat Sheep.—The market is kept well supplied. 1200 cross -breds were penned - chiefly of very prime quality. Prices obtained show a slight decline on last week's rates. We sold 650 at from 18s Cd to 20s each —equal to 3}d per lb for good quality. Medium quality arc worth only a little over store prices. Privately, we wld. for forward delivery, 1300 cross breds.

Store Cattle.—Tho demand is very good, especially for grown cuttle, but the number offering is limited. Store Sheep.—We have enquiries for almost all classes. We quote prime merino wethers, 2 4 and Ctooth, 8s to 8s Bd; do do, full-mouthed (i« 6d to 7s ;do ewe 3, 2, 4, and 6-tooth, 9*; do do, fullmouthed, 5s ed to 7s ; crossbred wethers 4 and 6tooth, 13s to 14s; do 2-tooth, 11« to 12s ;do lambs 8s At above rates we hive sold 9500 merinos aud crocsbreds.

Country Sales.—On Thursday, Ist instant, we held our monthly sale at Palmcrston. There was a good attendance of buyers, but only a small amount of stock came forward. Storo bullocks and heifers brought£6fis; lightdriught horses, £15to£2J- fat sheep, IBs 6d. , '

Horses.-There is still a good demand for heavy araugnt and strong coach horses. Our sales on Saturday were principally of dealers' lots, of which only a moderate proportion changed hands. Wool.-Cablegrams, under date London, 19th June report as follows:-" The wool sales, after a course of remarkable steadiness, closed slightly weaker. 271 272 bales were catalogued, and 130,000 were taken'for export. We offered and sold 1610 as follows green skins iSfureds, from 3s 9d to 4s 6d each ; merino, 2s lOd to 3s 4d; station skins, 3s 7d to 5s 6d. Hides continue in good demand. At our sale on Inursdiv we sold a considerable quantity of medium we'ghte at from 18s to 25s 3d each ; calfskins at 2s 3d

Grain.—We have no change to note since our last report. Prices remain nominally the Bame Wheat • Prime samples are worth 4s Gd per bushel; medium' fe to 4s 3d. Oats: The demand is limited to small parcels for shipment. Good feed are worth &&1 to is lOd per bushel; milling, up to 3b.
