. .-London-, June 15th. The tenders for the San Francisco permaneut service, of which there are six have been opened. The Pacific Mail aud lUilway Combination is the lowrst. For a service via Fiji they ask £59,500, and via Auckland, L/V *X) 000. The concordat between Russia and the Vatican, as announced by ' L'Umvers, has been contradicted. Tttere is to be only a rappi vehement. Alexander Collie, commission merchant, of London and *Mauehescer, has suspended paymen with liabilities estimated at three millions. Lord Carnarvon has received numerous deputations, which ur^ed upon him the desirability of annexing New Guinea.
