COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Whitelaw and Co. report having offered for sale by auction yesterday, the car^o of new season's sugars, ex Kobert Jones, from Mauritius. There was a large attendance of the trade, and after some spirited competition, about 5000 mats were placed at the M owing rates, viz. :—Yellow c^-stals, £31 os ; brewers', £32 10s to £34; fine yellow, £33 5s to £33105; finest whites, £35; and snowdrop crystals, £35 l&3 to £36—a1l in bond.
