The following are some of the principal prizes offered:— SHEEP. In the Merino Classes, a piece of Silver Plate or Cup of the value of £50 will be given to the largest prizetaker. In the Leicester, Lincoln, Romney Marsh, Cotwold, and other breeds, a piece of Silver Plate or Cup of the value of £20 is offered in each class to the largest prizetaker. For the Best Merino Ram, and the Best Longwoolled Ram in yard, are offered respectively a Gold Medal of the value of £C 10s. CATTLE. A piece of Slyer Plate or Cup of the value of £1010s is offered to the largest prize-taker. Also, a Gold Medal of the value of £6 10s for the Best Bull m yard. HORSES. A piece of Silver Plate or Cup of the value of £20 is offered to the largest prize-taker in the Draught Stock. A piece of Silver Plate or Cup of the value of £10 10s for the best Entire on the ground. And a Gold Medal of the value of £6 10s for the best Draught Mare on the ground. The Investors' Shares in this Society are the following:— Terminating Shares of the ultimate value of Fifty Pounds each, which are realised after seventy five monthly payments of Ten Shillings each. These Shares may be withdrawn at any time, with' interest at the rate of eight per cent, per annum after the first year, upon giving one month's notice. No withdrawal fee is charged. Permanent Shares of Fifty Pounds each, payable in one sum, are also issued. On these Shares Half-yearly Dividends are paid at the rate of eight per cent, per annum, together with Annual Bonns out of Surplus Profits. Deferred Paid-up Shares, to be realised at the end of three, five, or seven years, at the option of the Shareholder. These Shares may be withdrawn at any time, with compound interest, at the rate of six per cent, per annum, on giving three months* notice. The Society grants loans on mortgage upon most favourable terms, repayable by monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly instalments, commencing immediately i or the repayment instalments may be deferred for one, two, or three years. To facilitate building operations, the Society will make payment of advances during the progress of buildings. The Society also receives deposits, secured by the Society's Debentures, pursuant to the Building and Laud Societies Act, at current rates of interest.
