There were three kinds of examinations, viz.:—lst, Class Examination (monthly); 2nd, Problems for solution at home; and 3rd, Laboratory Examinations in Analytical Chemistry. The result of each in as follows:—• I.—class examinations (HI .Students). The competitors are divided into three clauses. The first class includes thoae who obtained 75 per cent, and upwards of obtainable marks ; the second class those who obtained between 50 and 70 per cent ; the third class those under 50 per cent. (Mr M'Korrow was necessarily absent during an important part of the courso, which considerably reduced hb marks.)
