IN consequence of a Hlight misunderstanding between the City Council and the Proprietor of the Dunedin Gas Works, he feels it duo to the Citizens to intimate to them that ho has no intention of departing from the promise previously made, to the effect that for three years, from the Ist of March i-wt, the price of Gas to all Consumers paviiiK their rates before tho 15th of each month should not exceed 12s Gd per 1000 cubic feet.
