The brigantine' Emulous, timber laden,; arrived at Port Chalmers on Sunday evening! from the Bluff, which she left on Saturday, last, and had S.E. winds arid weather! throughout the passage. i The s. s. Beautiful Star sailed for Lyttelton; and intermediate ports last evening. ! The b.s. Phoebe sails for Northern Ports j to-day, as also the Maori for pamaru. This was not replied to by the vessel in the offing; which was a good distance off, hence the surmise that the craft would prove to be the William Davie, now 87 days out from Glasgow. The vessel. alluded to, however, proved to be the brigantine Emulous, whicli, standing in, end on, with her yards square,;was supposed to bi\ a full-rigged ship. A ship, however, vfas reportedto be sighted, off the Heads yesterday morning. She was not signalled, and may be a vessel bound North. ;! "? . * ; The Bchoonec Crest of the Wave arrived j at Moeraki pn the 26th, June,, loaded 310 bags oats for Messrs A. Boyle and Co., and sailed on the following day for Hokitika. The schooner Jane arrived at Moeraki on the 27th, and after loading 400 bags oats, aIBO for Messrs Boyle and Co;, BailM on the 28th for Wellington.
