The s.s. Wellington returned from a special trip to Oamaru yesterday forenoon, and sailod again in the evening for Northern ports. . ■"'"%■ The s.s. Beautiful Star left oriyFuesday evening for Lyttelton and intermediate ports. The ship Alice Ball sails for Newcastle the first favourable opportunity. That little favourite yacht-built s.s. Pretty Jane has all but completed an extensive overhaul, and is appointed to sail on Saturday for Port Molyneux. The Pretty Jane has been laid up for the last two months, and during that time she has received a new boiler, manufactured by W. Sparrow and Co., of Dunedin, which is calculated to give her a great increase of speed. She has also been risen on to the extent of her iron bulwarks, making her now more shipshape for ocean voyages. A fine house has been placed on deck, and fitted with every convenience for saloon passengers, including a ladies' boudoir.
