GOVEENMENT NOTICE. Government Annuities Office, Wellington, Ist December, 1870. JTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Government Insurance and Annuities Offices, under " The Government Annuities Act, 1869," and " The New Zealand Government Insurance and Annuities Act, 1870." have been opened at the Post Offices at BUNEDIN, Port Chalmers Balclutha, Clyde, Lawrence, Oamarn, Port Chalmers, Queenitown, Tokoma!riro, Waikouaiti, and Invercirgill. The following advantage j are secured by special pro. visions ia the akove-mentioned Acts :— 1. Up to a certain amour.t, Assurance Policus bona fide effected by the Assured upon his own life, and Endowment Policies, and Anncities purchased for the beneflc of Wife or Children, are exempted frem the operation ef Bankruptcy Acts, and from seizure under legal process. 2. Up to a certain amount, Married Women may effect Policies, and dispose of the money assured by will, as if single; and smchPolicws a~e free from the debts and control of their husbands. 3. Insurances may be effected for the benefit rf Wife and Children, with power to apportion amount; and tueh insurance is to bs free from tht claim ot creditors, to the extent of L2OOO. All personi wishing to obta'n Life Insurances, Endowments, Annuities, imrcediate or deferred, or other advantages under the Aots, will receive, every informs, tiou, and the necessary forms, on application at any : of the abovenamed offlceß..
