Drunkenness and Disorderly, yCasf.DceT.—Ann Miller was discharged with s. caution, and Ellen Maitland, who had » child in kta- arms, was fined 10s, or ia default to go to gaol for 24 hours. John Cansvan, on bail, who appeared in Court in. a~ drunken state, had his bail forfeited.
Alleged Sly-grog: Selling. Eeitfe wa3 charged with committing two breaches of the Licensing Act, but as the liquor saitk to have been sold was not specified in the information the case was. on the application, of Mr Ward, adjourned till to-day. A Nuisaivce— P. P.Allen was charged with neglecting to remove -the base of ai bridle post from off the kerbing in Princes street. The Inspector reported that passersby often stumbled over it, and that, it had: done great damage tearing ladies' dresses. Is had been removed since the serving of thasummons, but as the defendant did not appear he was fined 5b , and costs.
