MOTION FOR A CERTIFICATE.
Re Andrew Hamilton.—This caso was adjourned from tho previous sitting in Bankruptcy, when Mr W. D. Stewart applied for' an order of commitment against tho bankrupt—tho latter having failed to attend a meeting for examination on tho day appointed. His Honour on that occasion suggested, that the application should bo made to a Justice of tho Peaco. Mr Stewart now applied for a* certificate on the same ground. His Honour remarked that there ought vo be placed before him an affidavit showing that tho bankrupt did not surrender. Mr Stewart replied tbat thero was an affidavit, shoeing that notice was served upon the bankrupt to attend thero. Tho Court knew that tho banknipt did not attend.
After some further remarks, an order as asked for was granted.
