DUNEDIN VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE.
-To the Editor of the Otago Daily Times
Sir--Having failed to meet the support that is necessary for the carrying out of a Volunteer Fire Brigade, we, the {officers and members, are compelled to withdraw from the position we have held for the last six years ; sincerely hoping with satisfaction to the citizens and with honor to ourselves.
As a refutation of the remarks that have been made with regard to the Expenditure, we refer to the Balance Sheet --as published in this day's issue. On behalf of the officers and members of the Brigade.—l am, &c., - Robert Potlett, Hon. Sec. 3rd September, 1868.
