BUTCHERS AND THEIR PRICES.

{To Hie Editor of (Jie Or ago Daily Times.)

Slit—The present prices that we (the butchers) are charging seems to give a few of the public cause for grumbling ; and they also seem to cay that v/e must bo making rapid fortunes. Now, Sir, if " Fry Them/ "Boil Them," or "Housewife" thinks bo, why don't the three join in company and try their hands at making ono of these vast fortunes. But lam sure that they very soon would find out their mistake, by losing what little they have got. My advice to those of the public, in the habit of running accounts with butchers, is to pay us cash, and then they will find that we are a' ie to supply them at from 2d to 3d per lb less ; because, by doing so, it will enable us to carry on our business with leas expense, by, at the least, L4OO or LSOO per year. Speaking to the public, I am suro that all of us wouli be only too welcome to supply at reduced prices, if you but pay us cash. —lam, &c, Butchku.
