IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Afsembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, John Dewe," Returning Officer ior the Electoral Ehtrictof Bruce, do hereby give notice, that by virtue of a writ bearing date the third day of July, 1865, isfuejl under th* hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Court House, Tokomairiro, on Thursday, the twentieth day of July, 1865, at noon ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Wednesday, the twenty sixth day of July, 1865.
