The customs revenue received on goods cleared for home consumption, was as follows :—Brandy, 271 gals, £163 Is 6d ; whisky, 73 gals, £43 18s 3d ; ram, 75 gals, £-15 ; geneva, 101 gals, £102 Is 11<1 ; wine, 127 gals, £25' 8s ; tea, 26521b5, £66 Gs ; tobacco, 9591b5, £119 17s 6d ; cigars, 12s 8d ; sugar, 14,5841b5, £60 lus 4d ; boots, £43 5s 5d ; drapery, £49 Is ud, making a total of £719 Bs.

Business has been quiet through this and the preceding day. Intelligence from Ilokitika, which has been anxiously awaited, is now to hand; but few orders have arrived, and in all probability shipments to the West Coast will not be very heavy just at present. Flour is going off in small parcels at about last quotations; some large lots have been offered for, but no considerable transactions have matured, holders being disinclined to accept a reduction. The sugar and tea market has been kept alive by a few small operations which have been effected at fair rates. The spirit market is firm, but without much doing; holders of Hennesay's and Martell's brandies ask 8s 9d; geneva is passing out of importers' hands at 13s to 14s. The auction sales have possessed no particular interest.

A correspondent at Ilokitika, under date April 27th, furnishes us. with the following quotations :—Live Stock—Of horses there is quite a glut, end in com.cquence of the total want of grass, and the prevailing high rate of fodder, prices rnle very low ; packers, L 6 to Lls ; hackneys, Lls to £25.
