EXTRACT FROM THE MELBOURNE JOURNAL OF COMMERCE, 9th Jura. "TEA REPORT. "The market during the weok has been exceedingly active, and an immense business has been done at further advanced rates. We believe all the large parcels of common Congou remaining on the market have been purchased under Is 6d per lb in bond; and nothing now remains under that price except a few outside paicels, in small lots, held by persons who may wish to realise the advanced rates. A g«od business has also been done in medium kinds, and some small lots of fine have been sold as high as 2s lOd per lb. In addition to the above, all the boxes of Congou in the market, amounting to 15,000, have been sold; and sales have since been made of this description of package at an advance of fully 4d per lb. Scented Teas command full rates, while all kinds of Green Tea are still a drug, Borne Canton-made Hysonskin being on the market at 6d per lb without finding a purchaser. Some anxiety prevails as to the probable news from China per mail due this week. If, as is expected, no further shipments have been made, we may expect a further rise in values. "J.
