The handicap weights to be declared by the Stewards at the Dunstan Hotel, by 9 o'clock, p.m., after the first day's running-; and acceptance, with payment of L5, to be made in writing to the Clerk of the Course before 11 o'clock, a.m., at the same place on the morning of the second day's races. Trotting Race of LSO, entrance L 5, three times round the course (abcut four and a half miles); weights for age, but optional harness or saddle Victorian trotting rules adhered to Steeple Chase of LIOO. entrance L 7, over about four miles of country. Weight for age ; second horse to receive L2O from the stake. District Plate of LSO, entrance L 3, one mile and a half. Weights for age. Horses to be qualified for this race must have been the actual property for two months previous lo the race, of residents within a circuit of fifty miles of the Duustan or township of Clyde Consolation Handicap of L 25, entrance L 2 (post) for all beaten horses (except disqualified) during the meeting; one mile and a half. Cheroot Scurry of LlO and a whip; entrance LI, one mile and a half: gentlemen riders, no weight under 11 stone 7 pounds. The first in with cigar alight to be the winner, post entry.

RULES AND REGCLATIONS. The rules of the Otago Jockey Club (identical with the Victoria Jockey Club) to be' strictly enforced. No person to enter or nominate a horse unless he be a subscriber of not less than three ssveieigus to the funds. Moreover, no person to enter or nomnate a horse, not his bona fide property, unless the said subscription of three sovereigns be paid for the actual owner also, under forfeiture of any race such horse may win.

All entries to be addressed, previous to 8 p.m., on Saturday, December 26th, to the Stewards, at the Dunstan Hotel, Dunstan, iv sealed envelopes, containing entrance money, qualification money; full description and age of horse, and color to be worn by the rider, under penalty of two sovereigns for neglect of same.

Jockey costume insisted upon. Dogs will be destroyed on the course, Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes' for expenses.
