DUNEDIN LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Driver, Maclean and Co. report: The market during the past week has been better supplied with beef, but the trade required all that came'to hand. We know of several lots close at hand, tli2t will sup^ ply immediate wants. Mutton continues scarce "ana the supply not equal to consumption. '

Fat Calves. -We have had but few in the yards A good lot would realize from Li to L6.

Store Cattle.—By the last Northern mail we are advised of a large advance in the price of store cattle, which has made holders of cattle in this Province disinclined to sell at late prices. Several lots have changed hands at a slight advance on our last quotations. \Ye quote quiet, weU-bread cattle tmixed sexes), deliverable in this Province, at Lil t^> IAI; inferior mobs, from L 9 10s. to Lil

Dairy Cows and Working Bullocks continue in gooddemand, at high prices, if quiet and in good condition say; iromLUtoL2s for former, and lAo to L6O per pair for the latter.

Couxtrt bALES.—On the 13th we held a sale of fat and store cattle at Tokomairiro, which realised prices quite equal to our town quotations. We will hold on the 10th September, at the Molyneux, a We and important sale of dairy and quiet cattle. Pat Sheejp continue scarce. The market is quite hare af good wethers. Horses.—The market, is still very bare of useful stock, with an mcreased demand. Heaw draught horses, aud mares, andgood hackneys aremueh inquired for, and we feel confident a lot brought forward in good condition would realise very satisfactory prices We sold Mr. Coulter's mob, from Southland, at saterfactory prices, although they were very rough and in had condition. *' Driver, Macleak & Co., Stock and Station Salesmen 16th August, 1862.
