TOWN BOARD.

The weekly meeting of the Town Board took place yesterday, at 2 o'clock. Mr. ilardy iv the Chair. The laiautes of the previous meeting were read and eoniinu^d.

'I he salary of James Nimon. the Inspector of N"iu>nri<:^. was fixed at L75 per annum, the office Xklux held in addition to other duties.

With regard to the question of an «xehan<je of allot.uc-uis between Mr. Caleutt and the Board, at the Water of Leith, it wai proposed to give Mr. Caieatt L',i3 compensation, the Hoard, however, not undertaking at present to throw a bridge over the it.vaui.

Tenders, for the supply of kerosene oil, were opeaod. and the leader of Messrs. Stanford and Co., iceonling to accompanying sample, accepted. The pricj vas <X Od. per gallon. The Surveyor's plan for urinals was approved, and ii was decided at once to call fjr t?nd«rs for the erection of two. oue ut the south side of Jetty-street, and the olher in the immediate vicinity of the Board's offices.

The Board then adjourned till Monday next, at 2 p.m.
