The above land is situated on the main road between Dunedin and Portobello, and extends from opposite the School-house to the Bay, commanding a splendid view of Dunedin and the neighborhood. It is one mile and a-half by water from the Jetty, and two miles and a-half by the road from the Post-office. For general stores (much wanted) few situations are more promising, the distance of the Tomahawk District from Dunedin being inconveniently great for the numerous settlers.
