THE OLYMPIC TEAM.

(Per Press Associat.iL.WELLINGTON, June 2. The members of the team -which will represent New Zealand at the Olympic Games were tendered a, civic farewell in the Town Hall to-day. The Mayor (Mr J. P. Luke) presided, and Mr Massey, who was among'those on the. platform, presented H. F. Wilson with the New Zealand ilag. Ho hoped that the leader of tho team would have the opportunity of carrying the flag to victory on many occasions. Win or lose, the team would, he was sure, show themselves true sportsmen. Mr Wilson, 'who took the. flag from the Prime Minister, said that- they considered. it a great honor to Tcpresent New 'Zealand! They wanted to bring New Zealand before the notice of other countries. If trying would make winners. then there were four winners on j the platform. j. Mr Marryatt, New Zealand reprejsentative on tho Olympic Council,• pre--j sented each of the representatives and Mr Walrond with a. silver fern badge with "N.Z." engraved en it.
