SUPREME COURT.

INVERCARGILL, June 1. After the trial of William Joseph Lvons, William Holland, and William Edward Duthie on various, charges arising out of the theft of a large quantity of petrol from a bulk store occupied by J. G. Ward and Co. and Briscoe and Co. had proceeded throughout the forenoon at the Supremo Court, counsel for the accused withdrew the plea of not I guilty and they pleaded guilty —Duthie and Lyons to theft and Holland to breaking and entering. Mr Justice Sim sentenced each of the accused to reformative detention for a. period not exceeding three years.
