(Our Own Correspondent.) I A very large concourse of people took j part in the Anzac Memorial function -here yesterday afternoon. The procession marched from the Drill Hall to the Olympic Hall, headed' by the Pipe Band.. There was a good turn-out of returned men." The service was commenced by a praver of invocation by Major Gray, of the Salvation Army, followed by the hymn, "Our God. Our Help in Ages Past." Hayes, President of the Returned Soldiers' Association, then addressed the gathering. This was followed by a reading from Scripture by the Rev. NY. Scotter, and the Rev. Mr Julius led in player,"and the band played n lament. "The Rev. J. D. Wilson addressed the _ meeting, and the audience sang, "Abide With Me." The hand then played the "Dead March in Saul," the firing party fired three vollevs, and the bugler sounded the Last Post. 'Mr W, L. Hay then sang "I know that My Redeemer Liveth," the audience afterwards singing "God of Our Fathers," and' the Rev. Mr. Wilson nronounced the' Benediction, the service closing with the National Anthem. The procession then re-formed, and marched to the South African Troopers' Memorial, and wreaths were placed on it by, the returned soldiers, after which the LastPost was sounded, and the -crowd dispersed. •■''., _, "..■' "
