As a fourshe got 3rd at Ayr, being leaten by her own daughter, Lady iouglas. Peggy of Balcaimey'e sire Vlontrave 'Mac (9958), won first and ihampion honors at Glasgow when a ;hroe-year-old, and was purchased from lis breeder, Sir John Gilmour, Bart., if Montravo for 1000 guineas. Besides having held some of the best dis;rict premiums, he has been a consistrnt breeder of stock, among which night be mentioned the two champions Sylvander and Nancy Young. Lady Douglas, full sister to Black Douglas, has taken the _ following Drizes:—As a foal, Ist at Girvan, 2nd it Kilmarnock; as a yearling, 4th at Kilmarnock, 4th at Ayr, 4th at Glasgow Summer Show, and Ist and Chamlion at Girvan; as 'a two-year-old 2nd it Kilmarnock, 3rd at Ayr, Ist and ;he Clydesdale Horse Society's medal it Glasgow. A very big price was iffered for her by the Canadian Government, but it "was refused. Her .•earling filly, realised 820 guineas at Lanark sales, Oct., 1918, being top )rice of sale. Black Douglas is a remarkably true ivpe of the Clydesdale, horse and has aken the following prizes: As a foal ie was Ist and champion at Girvan; is a yearling Ist at the Stallion Show, st at Ayr, Ist at Glasgow. 2nd at Kilmarnock, and 2nd at the Hishland society's Show; as a two-year-old, 3rd it Glasgow Stallion Show, 2nd at Kilnarnock, 4th at Highland Society's ?how Stirling, and Ist and cliamlion at Galston; as a three-year-old, ie was 3rd at the Highland Society's Show after doing a heavy season; as a our-year-old. sth out of a class of nine it the Highland Society's Show, akv. :oming off a season. Since coming to he Dominion he has taken 12 cham>ionships, $5 reserves, 28 firsts, and 12 lecond prizes.
