The Lyric Concert Party, which is making its first appearance in Oamarti to-night. should prove irresistibly attractive to a music-loving pub--1 it-. The party is composed of several of Austrlia's most finished artists, who have earned a wide reputation in their several roles. Miss Belle Pollard, acclaimed as one (of Victoria's most brilliant sopranos, in addition to rendering solos from grand operas, oratorios and concert ballads, will also take part in duets with the popular Australian tenor, Mr Walter Whyte. late principal tenor of Williamson Ltd. Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. His repertoire is extensive. Mr Whyte holds a premier position in the musical world and his advent to Oamaru should be an educational and vocaJ. treat- to patrons. Miss Bathie Howie Stuart, shines as a comedienne entertainer and universal joy-maker, the embodiment of the spirit of golden youth, of carn'val nncl of merriment. Herrepertoire consists of monologues, sketches, impersonations, interspersed with songs and recitals.
