Wheat —May deliveries are quoted at 190 cents to 286J cents; Jtily deliveries, 155 cents to 251 cents. BURNSIDB MARKETS. Per Press Association. Dunedin, January 10. At, Burnside to-day there was a large yarding of fair quality fat cattle. Competition was keen, and opening rates were at about a par with last week's rates, but when butchers' requirements were supplied the prices showed a decline of about 10s per head.

Best bullocks £l7 10s to £l9, extra prime heavy £2l 15s, medium to good £l4 10s to £l6 10s, others to £l3, best cows and heifers £l2 to £l3 10s, extra prime to £l7 10s, medium to good £11) to £ll, others £8 upwards, dairy cows £7 los to £l4 10s, calves 6s to 345. Fat Sheep—There was a good yarding, but only a small percentage were prime. The greater proportion were medium wethers and ewes. Prices for prime quality showed a slight advance, but medium quality and unfinished *orts were about on a par with last week's rates. Best wethers 33s 6d to 365, extra prime heavy to 41s 9d, others 28s upwards, best ewes 30s to 325, extra prime to 355, others 24s upwards. Fat Lambs—There was a small yarding with good competition amongst butchers, also one export buyer who was operating. Prices were about on a par with last week. Unfinished lots went to graziers. Best lambs 24s to 265, extra prime to 28s 6c], medium 20s to 22s 6d, unfinished 17s upwards. Pigs—There was a small entry or fats and a medium entry of stores. Fats showed an advance of 5s per head on last week's rates. Stores were not in such keen demand and prices showed a slight decline. j

ADDINGTON MARKETS. (Per Press Association.) Christchurcb, January 10. At the Addington market there were: largo entries of fat cattle and store sheep, but a smaller yarding of fat | sheep and fat lambs. Other entries were moderate. The smaller offerings of fat sheep and lambs were no doubt due to the late rain, which will enable farmers to hold on- to unfinished sorts. Fat lambs and fat sheep, as well as fat. cattle, were in keen, demand at firmer rates. Exporters were operating freely. Fat lambs averaged fully 8-id per lb over all, fat wethers 6?d', and. ewes GadStore cattle sold well, and fat pigs were easier.

Store Sheep.—Mixed' sex lambs 15s 6d to 20s 4d. two-tooth ewes 26s 6d to 309, • four-tooth ewes 28s 6d, I'our and six-tooth ewes 24s 6d t-o 25s 6di, soundmouthed ewes 15s 6d to 17s, four, six. and eight-tooth ewes and' lambs 17s 3d to 19s 6d, two-tooth wethers 21s 2d to 275, four-tooth wethers 29s Bd', four .and-6ix-tootli wethers 18s 2d to 29s 6d, six and eight-tooth wethers 28s 3d. Fat Lambs.—Best lambs 26s 6d' to 32s sd, medium 22s 6d to 265, lighter 19s 6cl to 225. Fat Sheep.—Prime wethers 32s 6d: to 38s 6d, lighter wethers 27s to 325, prime merino wethers 22s to 33e, prime ewes 30s to 36s 9d'. lighter ewes 24s to 29s 9d, merino ewes 19s to 24e 2d. Fat Cattle. —Extra prime steers to £23, prime steers £ls to £2O 10s, ordinary steers £lO 10s to £l4 15s, extra prime heifers to £l7; prime heifers sl2 [ 10s to £ls 7s 6d, ordinary heifers £9 I 10s to £l2. extra .prime cows to £l7 15s, prime cows £l2 10s to £l6, ordinary cows £8 10s to £l2. Store Cattle. —Yearlings £2 10s, 15 to 18-mon.ths £4 12s 6d to £5, twoyear stores £6 5s to £6 17s 6<l, two-year heifers £5. 17s 6d to £6, threes-year steers £ll, three-year heifers £8 3s to £9 ss, dry cows £4 to £lO, dairy cows £5 to £l7.

Pigs.—Choppers £3 13s to £5. heavy baconers £4 12s to £5 3s, light baconers £3 10s to £4 5s price per lb 62d; heavy porkers 52s to 58s, light porkerp 44s to 50s, price per lb 7id to B}d; medium stores 36s to 40s, light stores 22a to 325, weaners 16s to 235.
