Wo regret having inserted in our paper on January 29th and 3lst and February Ist and* 2nd, 191 G. an advertismcjit.'without giving the name of the advertiser, concerning Ford Cars, which contained an inaccurate statement, and which may have a damaging effect on the sale of Canadian-built Ford Motor Cars and on the business of F. R. Dennison and Co. We are assured that th e re is a Ford Motor Car Factory in. Canada, situated at Ford, Ontario. Canada, and that F. R. Dennison and Co. sell this Company's products. We are convinced that the Ford Motor Co.. of Canada, Ltd., its employees, etc., have been extremely patriotic. The following is a copy of a, cable received bv the principal N.Z. Ford Agents at Wellington from the Ford Motor Co., of Canada:—"Mr Ford's statements do not reflect- sentiment tins Company. This is strictly a Canadian, organisation, financed by Canadian money, using Canadian material, and ornploving directlv and indirectly 3o00 ; Canadian citizens'. Mr Ford owns only 25 per cent, our stock, majority stock hold bv Canadian shareholders. Our sympathies and rpsonrce.s aboslntely with Allies. Employees and officers of Canadian Ford Company have to date subscribed over 40.000 dollars to BijMsli and Canadian Red Cross and Patriotic Funds.
