No grain is offering from the country districts, and prices remain the same. It is reported that the contract for supplying the Government with, flour for the next troopship has been secured by a Dunedin miller. There is a good enquiry for old oats in view of the probable shortage of the crop in Canterbury this season. The rain of Saturday did not extend into the eountrv districts, audi was purelv local. BURNSIDE MARKETS.. Per Pp-ebb Association. Dunedin, December 21. There was a small yarding of fatcattle at Burnside to-day, about 100 being pem;ed. The quality on tie while was only fair. Butchers' requirements were principally for lamb, _ and despite the small entry prices for medium quality cattle were much tho same as last week, though extra prime quality advanved Vjs.
