DUNEDIN MARKETS. (Pbr Pkess Association.) Dunodin, July 8. \At Bnrnside to-day 123 fat 'cattle were, yarded, the entry consisting principally of medium bullocks and heifers, with a few pens of extra prime bullocks. As this number proved short of butchers' requirements, prices advanced by lUs to 15s per head. Prime heavy bullocks £ll 15s to £l3 ss, extra prime to "£ls 10s, medium £lO 15s to £ll 10s, light and inferior £9 to £lO ss. prime cows and heifers £9 15s to £lO 15s, extra to £ll los, medium £8 to £9 10s, light and inferior £6 to £7 10s.

Fat Sheep. —2427 were penned. The bulk of the entry was superior in quality to that forward last week, a number of pens being extra prime. Freezing buyers were operating freely, and prices ruled from Gd to Is per head better than last week. Prime wethers 25s to 275, extra, to 325, medium'to good 22s Gd to 245. light 18s to 21s, prime ewes 24s to 25s Gd, extra to 27s Gd, medium to good 18s Gd to 21s. Fat Lambs. —There was again a large yarding, 2171 being penned. The quality was very medium, there being only a few pens'of extra prime. Owing to freezing buyers having reduced limits, prices showed a. decline of Is per head all round. Good 19s to 20s fid, extraprime to 2-ls, medium 17s to 18s, light and inferior 13s Gd to 16s.

Pigs.—sG fat pigs and 21 stores were yarded, and prices were on a par with last week's rates.

AUCKLAND MARKETS. By Telegraph. (Special to Oamaru Mail.) Auckland, July 8. Thoro is little change in the condition of general business since last week. Distributors are not very busy, and have all the supplies necessary for immediate requirements; in fact in most eases iliey are overstocked in grain and produce. Potatoes. —Tins' market is exceedingly dull and local supplies are plentiful. Sales were made this week, ex Victoria,, at 8& Gd, ex wharf; but oven at this money buyers are extremely hard to lind." The southern- mice is 70s, f.0.b.5.i., July shipment, but it is impossible to ett'eci business in the mean lime.

Jiocd Potatoes. —There' is a small inquiry for early varieties, such as Early Kose and fieiitity of Hebron at 130s, but business is quiet in Northern Stars and Onmekeeeprs, although occasional sales of the latter have been made at 70s f.o.b.s.i. Up-to-date* are quoted at 00s f.0.b.5.i.. -without business. Oats. —The local- stocks are heavy, and very little change has taken place in prices. A few transactions have been effected on samples, but. business in graded oats is very limited, and' in the meantime merchants refuse to operate as emoted at 2s 2d to 2s.

Algerians.—Good supplies of Australian are held, but there is a fair enquiry for good farmers' lines at 2s 1-J-d to 2s 3d f.o.b.s.i. Chaff. —A good demand exists on the spot for chaff. Practically all the business is being directed to Blenheim, who still quote 7os f.o.b.s.i. Fowl Wheat. —The market is fully .stocked, and is quoted at. 3s. lid ta 3s Hid f.o.b.s.i. Very little, business is taking place. Milling Wheat.—Buyers; are not operating, but prices are unaltered. Flour, 195s f.0.b., less 2.V per cent. The market is easier; stocks are ample, «nd the demand is normal.

Bran. Gss f.o.b. The market is firmer; stocks are good; but the demand is normal. Pollard, 115s f.o.b. Stocks are short, and the demand is good. Onions, 95s f.o.b. Stocks are good. The market is unaltered, but the demand is normal. -Maize.—The market is disorganised, owinj; to the arrival of new local and Java maize. Lines of old local maintain their price. Cape Fiat-ley.—Enquiry is dull, and stocks are sufficient for' requirements. Quotation, 2s 3d f.o.b.s.i.
