DISLOYALTY IN A PUBLIC SERVICE.

The report ' of the inquiry into the Surveyor - GeneraPs Department has been presented in the Assemblv. . It states that disloyalty is rampant in the department and : flagrant breaches of the regulations have enabled a coterie of officials to derive pecuniary benefit in addition to their salaries, thus securing advantages denied officials who did not- .perform private work. On the recommendation of the Public Service Board the salaries of five officers have been reduced for certain periods.
