UNVEILING OF CAPTAIN COOK'S STATUE.

Mr Herbert Samuel presiding, Prince Arthur of Connaught unveiled MiBrock's statue of Cook on the Mall. Prince Louis of Battcnburg, Mr Churchill, Sir George Reid, an'< 3 Mr Mackenzie were present. Received July 8, at 10.25 a.m. London, July 7. Rush all's Cadets were present at the unveiling of Captain Cook's statue, an<J so also were the Agents-General and a number of prominent colonials. Mr Mackenzie said New Zealand's loftiest peak was an everlasting memorial to Captain Cook's work. Ho said that New Zealand's external trade was now equal to the total import and export trade of Britain, GeiaaßiiiY, and France at the time of "Cook's visit. Sir G. Reid recognised Australia's debt to Cook.
