WILLOWBRIDGE NOTES.

A meeting convened l>y .advcrtibOiiiynt was'held jn the local schoolroom yesterday evening -to consider tvliat steps should he taken to raise funds to erect a Presbyterian - Church at Willowbridge.. The Rev. A. S. .Morrison, pastor of the . congregation, occupied the chair, and there was a fair number of the congregation present. The rev. -gentleman, iu opening the proceedings, spoke of the need of a church in tlie district, and' as a lady of the congregation' had generously donated a site, it was felt that.it was time that effect 'was given to thot'r -desire. After .some discussion, it was moved by H. K. M'Gowan, and seconded by Mr E. V. Scott, that a. show of hands be taken of those in favor of building a church at Willow bridge. On a show of hands being taken, in response to tho motion, the greater part of those present voted in favor. Mr Logan then moved that a committee be set up to ascertain wliat pro-' raises of subscription could be obtained for the purpose of raising funds to build a chureh. This was seconded V* Mr M'Gowan, and carried. Mr M'Gowan was appointed local convenor when, it is necessary to rail the parishioners together. Mr Morrison suggested that it. would be advisable to a'ppoint a committee in Wainiate to take, the responsibility of seeking subscriptions in aid in that district., and ife was suggested tliat « similar committee should be appointed in all the outlying districts of the parish. The rev. chairman then brought the meeting, to a close _with the benediction.
