IMPERIAL STATUE DESECRATED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] (Per Press Association.) Berlin, Juno 9. During the Socialist week in March the Emperor Frederick's statue was desecrated, the words "Red Week, bein0 * painted thereon- Two factory hands and a chauffeur were sentenced Ito eighteen months'-and a publican to 1 a year's imprisonment. The Court 1 attached political significance to the incident. It cost only 75s to clean the statue.
