THE MOUNT COOK RESERVE.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, June 10. 'jt'he Government proposes to convert Mount Cook (Wellington) reserve and old gaol buildings into a public park containing the Dominion museum, art gallery, and library. The former prison, now used for defence barracks, will he utilised for the storage of historical records. The area is 14} acres, and although it is practically the .best situation in Wellington, it has hitliex-to been practically wasted.
