DAMAGES AGAINST COUNTY COUNCIL.
(Per Pbebs Association.) Inve'reargill, June 9. The hearing of the. case in which G. B. Wise claimed £550 and Z. C. Hood £176 from the Southland County Council as damages through their motor car running into an unprotected l and in-sufficiently-lighted' excavation was concluded in the Sunreme Court. The jury found, for plaintiffs, and Wise was awarded £125 I.os and Hood £7l 12s, with costs.
