School Election.—A fair number t householder* turned up last nigln "lien Mr .1. vSmillie, chairman of th retiring Committee, was voted to ti chair, lie said the- Committee held I 1 meetings during the year, which wei all well attended. Thev held tw socials during the year, had the .soho( painted inside and outside, and th householders would notice the improv. ment especially inside. They also vote £8 for a school library, and tho book wore now to hand, and would he read tor distribution among the children i' a. <lay or two. The books showed credit balance of £■] 2s 8d in the gotif ra.l account, and ,-£.','! Ms lOd in th sports fund. Tho average attendant at the school during tho year was 'JT>..' : nnd ho. hoped the parents would so that the attendance was kept up, s that the school would not fall from it grade. A a meeting of the Committee held after Mr J, Smillie was re-elected chairman Mr C. D. Fleming secretary, and M M. Elliott treasurer (re-elected).
