SUPREME COURT.
(Pl!Il PIIKSS ASSOCIATION.) Blenheim, February 27. The Supreme Court opened t'o-da.v before. Mr .Justice Chapman, who, in his address to the grand jury, congratulated the district 011 the fact that only one bill was before them. This case was that against JoTin Francis O'Keefe, charged with the theft of a mail bag from the Molesworth coach in Januarv last. The bag was found in some scrub opened and letters torn and scattered about. Accused was alleged to have been seen going towards the scrub with something; under his coat. The election petition case of Sinclair v. Vavasour, and that of W. Pollard's claim for the balance of petitioning solicitor's fee in reference- to the petition against the. return of Mr R. M'Callnm for Wairau at last election, were adjourned by . mutual consent till the June sittinc.
