It is vt-rv important that specifications and drawings should be prepared bv competent persons, as the validity of a. pater.'i often; depends upon them. No patent agent is competent unless he is a practical mechanical draftsman, has scient:iic education, and is skilled 1 in patent law. Messrs Baldwin and Rax ward, who's local representative is Mr E. Piper, Thames street, have these qualifications, and are thoroughly trustworthy.
