DUNTROON NOTES.

SCHOOL CONCERT AND DANCE. (From Our Own Correspondent.)' Last Friday evening the Duntroon School held the annual concert and dance in aid of the school funds, and, considering the weather, there was 1 a vcrv good number present. •• Mr W. J. Yaruley occupied the chair, and thanked those present for their attendance.' The following is the programme: Part I.—Song, all the pupils; quartette, "Pumpkin Pie," Eric" Johnston, W. Tavlor, Colin Haugh, and W. Beck; quartette, "Larboard Watch," Bessie13ec5, Mary Greaney, Crissy Sutherland, and Elsie Johnston; "The House that Tallcntire built),- parody in character by junior pupils; sword dance, Miss "D. Walker (encore, Highland Fling) ; song, "The C4rocer's Man" (in character), by. junior bovs; dialogue,' "Tooth-pulling," Alex Fvfc. C. Hamilton, Annie Bell, and J. Norman. „ Part ll.—Song, -" the wind biowetb. in-from the sea," by senior boys and girls; butterfly dance, by junior girls; song, "The Arab's farewell to his" steed," senior, girls'; dialogue, "Topsy," Myrtle Beck and Elsie Fyfe; '.'Back-blocks experiences of a teacher in ' Australia," Mr Loekart, assisted by several pupils in character. ■ .:'•■—- '■ "■ The Chairman moved a hearty .vote of thanks to Mr Lcckart and Miss Barber, for the way: in -which the .children carried out the programme and the trouble they had gone to in/training them for the' concert. •" He .wished to move a special vote of thanks to Miss Daisy Walker, Miss Jane Pringle, and Miss.
