At the monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board and at a special meeting of the same business of local interest was transacted. Ranger Atkinson reported that the following lessees wore not complying with the residence condition o( their leases: —(a) R.l. Ills, allotment 6a, Block I, Knrow Settlement, Robert Sutherland; (b) Li.p. 14855, allotment Oa, block I, Knrow Settlement, Joseph Condon ; (e) l.i.p. 1488s, allotment 19a, block X, Kurow Settlement,, Geo. WauV wick.—To be called upon to show cause within on© mouth why their ■• leases should not ho declared forfeited. Ranger Atkinson forwarded a. report upon:—(a) Forest reserve in Ahuriri district. —To be Qffered' to lessees of Benmore Station on yearly license at rental of £lO per annum, (b) Forest preserve in Benmore district.—Tb be granted to A. M'Goun on yearly license at rental' of £2O per' annum. Ranger Atkinson reported upon the> application, of the Otekaike settlers to have a certain portion of the Waitaki inlands set aside and controlled by a local committee.—Application declined.
