It was thought that the funeral of the late- Wild Kemp would take place next Sundav, but it was decided late this afternoon that the • last rites be performed to-morrow. This decision is-the. result of the death of a chieltainess in Hawkcs- Bay. All the relatives of that lady are in Wanganui, and they desire to leave as soon as possible for the Hawkcs Bay tangi. Wiki Kemp will be. buried beside her father in the Pntiki <-emct«.«ry. 'Lh«i ceremonies of the Roman Catholic Church will be performed.
