The Chamber o'i Commerce to-night decided, to approach the Minister tor Justice to have this made a po-ice inspectorate, district instead of a sub-in-spectorate as ' at present, the sub-in-, spectorate being vacant since the promotion of: Mr Norwood to GrcymouUi. Members opined that the Wanganiu district to which Palrnerston iNorth was attached, was altogether too large.
