PENSIONER DIES FROM EXHAUSTION.

(Per Press Association.) Ashburton, June 10. .'[lie body of an old-age pensioner named John Gubbins was found in a shed near Websterfield yesterday. Deceased had been a gold-digger all his life, and at- the inquest to-day the evidence went to show that he was" on his way back to the Otago goldfields last month. The medical evidence gave the cause oi death as exhaustion, and stated that it occurred fully a fortnight ago. The Coroner's verdict was recorded accordingly.
