The public hearings of the Reciprocity Bill are concluded by the Senate's. Finance Committee, and a vote w'ill> be taken on Wednesday whether to report the measure to the House. Senator Root's amendment on the paper clause will probably he accepted as final. The Committee's sitting developed the fact that the lumbermen, paper and woollen manufacturers had offered to aid the farmers' organisations in an anti-reciprocity campaign.
