THE TERRITORIALS.
~~ (Pep. Press Association.) Wellington, May 30. The following figures have been supplied: The totals registered to the 20th; May were: Territorials. 14,606; senior cadets, 24,667. Registered during the week ended 27th May: Wellington, 605 and 1108; Auckland, 474 and 540; Canterbury, 605 and 905; Otago, 472 and 673. The totals to the 27th May are 16,762 and 27.893; thus to the week ending 28th May 44.655 have registered for the territorials and senior ca'dets. To this may be added estimated 17,500 Territorials and senior cadets at present serving who are registered on separate lists, making 62,155 accounted for. This leaves about 8845 who must, register before June 2 or suffer the penalties under the Act.
