THE PRICE OF BUTTER.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, May 28. The retail price of biittor (Is 2d per lb) remains unchanged at present. There are indications, however, that a slight rise, ■probably a penny per lb, will take place very shortly. Yesterday a Wellington house purchased a line of Auckland butter of 500 cases at per lb f.o.b. Auckland. Working this out, he says a rise in the retail price cannot be avoided.
