A smart arrest was made by the. police"'here-'this morning- The young man Christie who escaped from custody by leaping off a tram near Invercargill, some time ago was. arrested , in a toy shop. "When he was searched a loaded revolver was found ui a pocket, and it--is-also alleged that part of the proceeds of a series of burglaries hero were found in his possession.
